From Bob Dylan’s “Blood on the Tracks” this is one of my favorite songs to play. I do it in standard tuning, not the tuning Dylan used on the record. The setting is the small, but elegant Harvest Table in Meadowview, Virginia, a restaurant owned by the writer Barbara Kingsolver and her husband. I’ve included the misstep at the beginning of the song. The guitar I’m playing is an Alvarez-Yairi WY-1. The neck is narrow for my fat fingers, so I have to make adjustments to my playing, sometimes during a show.
