Changes

Four months have gone by and things have changed. I’m actually lucky that the immune and chemotherapy treatments have not hit me as hard as they could have. The one most troubling change is neuropathy in my hands. It has taken away not only my ability to play guitar accurately, but it hurts to play. So, for now, I look at the guitar hanging on the wall behind me, and hope my hands recover when this treatment is over and I have a cure. My mantra is “it’s temporary, it’s temporary.” Then again, isn’t everything? Here’s a song written by Blaze Foley, “If I Could Only Fly.”
